Michaela Rose is a natural health consultant, health writer and founder of Purehealth Clinic. After nearly three decades in natural medicine and helping thousands of people 1:1 and in groups, she now runs Purehealth as a virtual service to help people taking responsibility for their own health access the resources they need, including lab tests, information, supplies and support from a team of professionals.
Having suffered food ‘intolerance’ for many years causing IBS, mouth sores, migraine, chronic fatigue, TMJ disorder, restless legs, adrenal and hormonal dysfunction and chronic muscle pain, she was left with very few foods and a sensitivity to the world in general. Her ‘journey’ as a practitioner latterly has been led by the need to find answers for her own conditions and she now specialises in gluten related disorders (coeliac and non-coeliac gluten sensitivity, NCGS), trauma-triggered illness, hypersensitivity disorders and unresolving chronic illness.
Her approach is constantly evolving, but is currently to combine functional nutritional medicine with mind-body medicine – cognitive, brain retraining and subconscious techniques mostly – to get to the root cause of illnesses not responding to normal treatment.
She is a prolific natural medicine researcher and blogger, and has authored over twenty health guides and books.
Michaela is a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine and the Guild of Health Writers, has a distinction D.N. (Med) in Nutritional Medicine, a Diploma in Massage Therapy & Manipulative Techniques and various other qualifications gained over the years.
